Camberley Explore Learning opened in 2004 and quickly became a very popular centre, now with over 300 members. Luxmy, Michelle and Priya are very excited to see the benefits that the centre has given to so many children in the area and look forward to inspiring even more children with their learning. Parents receive regular feedback and are impressed by the progress that their children are already making. To find out how the Camberley centre could help your child, come and visit us for your free trial session!

"We considered tutors for our three boys but were put off by the formality and school like atmosphere. In the first three months since joining Explore our children have progressed by up to half a school year in both literacy and maths. The children positively look forward to attending sessions, the tutors make learning fun and we struggle to get them to leave!". Tim and Maria Kirkham, Camberley Parents
"I like coming to Explore because it's fun. I would recommend it to my friends because it will help them with their work too." Alex Russell, age 12, Camberley Explore Learning member

Open Sessions
Over the next few weeks we have a number of Open Sessions planned; you can come along to as many of these as you like and see the fantastic work your children have been doing. Please sign up on the sheet at the front desk. The next Open Sessions are:
Saturday 27th March and Sunday 28th March 10.00am-1pm: This is the perfect opportunity for you to drop in and see first-hand the fantastic work your child does with us. Your child will take on the role of "tutor" for all or part of their session and will be able to demonstrate their skills to you!
Schools This term, we’ve been working with local schools promoting the National Young Writers’ Awards with years 3 – 6. Children across the country have been writing stories on the topic “Lost and Found” and the overall winner will receive a family trip to Disneyland Paris, and £500 worth of books for their school.
Community
On Monday 15th February we worked with Farnborough, Fleet and Camberley libraries running fantastic creative writing workshops. Please look out for the next literacy-based workshops we will be running over the Easter holidays.
We do a lot of work in the community and have been visiting Brownies recently too. If your child goes to Cubs, Beavers, Rainbows or Brownies and would like us to come along to visit with a workshop, please let us know.

6Up Session
We’re inviting all members in Year 6 or above to come in for one of their sessions on Thursday evenings between 6.45 – 8.00pm. This means that the older children will be able to have Surf Club time with children their own age. However all of our members are still welcome to use the centre at this time
Parent Meetings We understand the importance of providing you with frequent, detailed feedback about your child’s progress which is why we endeavour to hold meetings with you on a regular basis. We know that especially with the recent bad weather it’s been difficult to get into the centre for these meetings and so if at anytime you would prefer us to call you and have a telephone consultation instead then please let us know.

“Charlie’s confidence has increased dramatically with literacy and numeracy… and Domique’s numeracy is really developing well too, which is extremely helpful to her as she adjusts to life at secondary school”. Mr Wall, Camberley Parent

"Explore Learning's visit made the children really spark and come up with lots of new ideas, they worked really hard and have referred back to the day on a few occasions. The tutors were excellent, they made the event fun and kept the children's attention, the children all said they'd loved it". Leigh Hill, Year 4 Teacher,
