Welcome to Explore Learning Leicester Fosse Park. Anna, Hayley, Kelly and Shreya are very excited by the progress their members are making as they head into the school holidays. Parents have also been very pleased by the steps their children have been making, not only in their maths and English but also in improving their concentration and enthusiasm for learning.

Additional courses
Explore Writing, Tuesday  7-8pm
We have a specially designed programme that is set to stimulate and stretch your imagination! Using literary techniques to create stories, newspaper articles and play scripts we have something for every creative mind out there! If you struggle to get your ideas written down on paper, or need to develop your descriptions then talk to us to see how we can support you through Explore Writing.

Succeed in Secondary, Wednesday 7-8pm
If you are in Year 6 or above then why not come along to our Succeed in Secondary course? To prepare you for secondary school we look at issues in the news today and create exciting projects based around them. These range from PowerPoint presentations and newspaper reports to practising note taking and debating. To find out more please come into the centre and talk to one of the managers. 

11+ tuition, Thursday 7-8pm
Are you off to grammar school in 2011? Our 11+ course is excellent preparation for your entrance exam. Focusing on all aspects of the test we guide you through verbal and non-verbal reasoning in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Drop into the centre and talk to Kelly to find out how we can really prepare you for your exam!

 
Leicester and the local community
In Leicester we work very closely with a number of schools, libraries and community groups holding fun literacy and numeracy workshops. Schools we attended last term included: Parkland Primary, Orchard Primary, St John Fisher and St Peter's Whetstone. Thousands of children entered our National Young Writers' Award this year and we had some great entries from children in South Leicestershire. This term we are visiting schools holding maths workshops for all ages and preparing Year Six pupils for Secondary School. During the Easter holidays we held a number of literacy workshops at local libraries. These are free events for families that are designed to make children excited about English. We have an action packed summer coming up in Leicestershire's County libraries and will be holding workshops about Pirates, the Beast Quest books, Narnia and Roald Dahl!

Open sessions

Bring a Friend for Free Days 
Every day during the holidays we have a 'Bring a Friend for Free' day, in which our current members were allowed to bring their siblings and friends to have a go at some of our courses. Our last 'Bring a Friend' day was on Friday 4th June. The whole day was full of activities for everyone to see how Explore works!
