Stephanie van Stokkom

Assistant Director - Hampton (London)

“What I love about working with children is that every day is varied and incredibly rewarding. I have always wanted to work somewhere that is passionate about developing a child’s self-confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Explore offers a vibrant, positive and encouraging environment for them to work in and it is a pleasure to see the children grow during their time here both in their confidence and in their academic ability.”

Stephanie graduated from the University of Southampton with a 2:1 in English. During her time at university she undertook work experience in two secondary schools and ran a series of Shakespeare for Schools workshops for primary school children in the local Southampton area. Stephanie has always possessed a keen passion for children’s education and mentoring, working as a buddy reader, peer counsellor and classroom assistant to students of all abilities during Sixth Form. Her interest in children’s welfare was utilised in her university dissertation which explored Shakespeare’s representation of children and childhood.
