We’d been home schooling Amy for about a year before she joined Explore. She had spent a fairly hard year getting started at home schooling, and while she’d made some progress it wasn’t as much as we’d hoped for. She was showing reasonable aptitude in maths and spelling but seemed to be struggling in reading and study skills.
Explore has really helped her with her reading and comprehension. It’s much stronger now. The parental feedback Explore provides has been excellent. When we started home schooling, we didn’t have any comparable measures at the time, we didn’t have a benchmark. Explore provides detailed structure and evaluation on what skills she’s working on and what skills she’s having difficulty with. It took a lot of pressure off of us, in terms of ‘is she achieving or not?’ That’s important for us.
Explore is a very good learning environment from home. It gives her a sense of independence and yet she can meet friends here too. She also really enjoys the interaction with the tutors. They are very friendly, enthusiastic and professional. They are genuinely interested in the kids achievement, they are very attentive and able to explain things clearly to both us and Amy.
Amy’s attitude to learning has improved. She comes here and enjoys it. I would recommend this to all parents – it’s the best place to get extra tuition. You get real value for money! |
