Katherine Wilson

Centre Director

“It is a privilege to work in a positive environment where children’s efforts are recognised and rewarded every day. Being part of each child’s development, both academically and in self confidence, is challenging but undoubtedly the most rewarding aspect of working for Explore Learning. It is extremely fulfilling to see children really enjoying their learning and looking forward to their next session at Explore!”

Katherine graduated with a 2:1 in Psychology. During her time at University, she volunteered for Child Line as a Telephone Counsellor for children and young people and worked in a local secondary school. Katherine joined Explore Learning in 2008 as a tutor in our Romford Centre before joining Lakeside as a Manager in 2010.

Elodie Ebersveiller

Assistant Director

“Watching children grow in confidence in their own abilities and enjoy their learning is the main reason my work at Explore is so incredibly rewarding. I love working in such an enthusiastic atmosphere and getting to know each of our members. It is always a special moment when we see our efforts reflected in a child’s academic as well as social development.  I am very proud to be part of a project I so strongly believe in”.

Elodie graduated from the University of Essex with a 2:1 in Law. With a passion for education, she began working with children whilst at university as part of a charity program. She went on to enrol as a mentor for secondary school students, helping build their confidence and expectations. Before joining Explore, Elodie travelled around Asia and volunteered in Cambodia teaching English to village children.

Alicia Joseph

Assistant Director

“I believe it is important for every child to be given the opportunity to fulfil their potential. This is why I love working at Explore; each child is given exactly what they need in order to become the best they can be. Seeing children grow in confidence as well as academic ability, and knowing we have played a part in their progression, is the best reward I could ask for.”

Alicia graduated from Lancaster University with a 2:1 degree in English Literature with Psychology. During her studies she helped to run a number of campus-based school events that worked with local schools to raise awareness about helping society and the environment. This included launching a long-term project teaching secondary school children about social enterprising and building business ideas that could benefit local communities.
