“Teaching in Japan was a very rewarding and challenging experience. On my return to the UK, I was determined to work for a company passionate about developing children’s skills, confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Explore Learning ticked all these boxes and more. Explore’s commitment is not only to its members but also to the relationships we have with parents, schools and the wider community. I feel very proud to be working for Explore, meeting so many bright and enthusiastic children and being part of such an inspiring and motivated team.”
Catherine graduated from the University of Warwick with a 2.1 in MORSE (Maths, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics). During her time at University she also completed some educational courses and teaching experience at a primary school. Catherine has always enjoyed working with children and, combining this with her passion for travel, spent 3 years teaching English to children in Japan and volunteering at overseas orphanages.

“I have always possessed a strong passion for working with children in a fun learning environment. Teaching in South Korea verified my passion and on my return to the UK, I sought to develop my passion for teaching into a long term reality. Explore Learning specifically appealed to me because of the fun learning atmosphere it adopts. The benefits for the children are endless, and watching their academic ability, confidence and enthusiasm for learning, develop is highly rewarding. Working for such a vibrant and enthusiastic company is extremely satisfying.”
Rebecca graduated from the University of Nottingham where she studied Sociology. Rebecca joined Explore Learning after being Head Teacher for an academy in South Korea. Prior to this Rebecca taught English as a foreign language in South Korea to children aged 4–14 years. Rebecca also worked part time as a Teaching Assistant throughout her University years, working one to one with children of all abilities. During her first year of University, Rebecca worked as a Team Leader at an American Summer Camp, where she ensured a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for the children.
