Welcome to Explore Learning, Walton-Upon-Thames!
Since opening in December 2008, over 270 families have joined Explore Learning in Walton-on-Thames. Janine, Alice and Cheryl are very excited to see the benefits that the centre has given to so many children in the Surrey area. Parents receive regular feedback and are impressed by the progress that their children are already making. Succeed in Secondary, Tuesday, 7-8pm
Succeed in Secondary is designed to prepare children for life at secondary school. Succeed in Secondary is for those of our members in Years 6 and above. It is a great chance for our older members to debate, discuss, present and build confidence for the transition to Year 7 and beyond.
Explore Writing, Wednesday 6:45-7:50pm
This fantastic creative writing course has been designed in conjunction with Explore Learning, Immersive Education and the University of Oxford. Explore Writing is open to all members aged 8-14 yrs.
Led by Explore managers and tutors, the course gives children the opportunity to:
* Stretch their imagination
* Become skilled in a range of writing styles
11+ Preparation Course, Monday & Thursday 7pm-8pm
Our 11+ Course is tailored to the entrance exams for schools in the area. Whilst teaching small groups in a stimulating setting we equip children with the knowledge and experience to achieve their potential. The course is intended for children in Year 5.
Schools Programme
This term we are visiting many schools in the local area as part of our National Children's Book Week workshops. Our interactive workshops are a great way of supporting the work our members are doing in the classroom, as they follow the National Curriculum, whilst giving children a new opportunity to have fun with their learning. We have worked with Danesfield Manor, Esher Church, Bell Farm, Cleves and St George's College.

Open Sessions
These are an opportunity for Explore Learning members to show their family exactly what they have been working on at Explore Learning. Held monthly, Open Sessions are enjoyable, relaxed and informative drop-in sessions so please come along when you can.

Free Workshops
During every school holiday we run free maths and literacy workshops for our members, giving them the chance to take part in a stimulating, interactive session, working with other children and doing something just a little bit different.
There are lots of workshops taking place this Christmas holiday. Let us know if you would like more information or to sign up for one of them.

Surf Club has recently been home to some exciting activities as Craft Days took over and members made their own Christmas cards..
The Prize Cabiniet is bursting with brilliant prizes and every month we have a new theme in Surf Club that is designed to inspire our members.
We are delighted to welcome a new member of staff, Cheryl, who started in the centre in October.
