Welcome to Willesden

December 15, 2017

We had a fantastic time launching our 133rd maths and English tuition centre in Willesden Green last month!

We were delighted that local Mayor Cllr Chonan could join us at our brand new Willesden centre to cut the ribbon and declare it officially open! The centre can be found upstairs in the The Library at Willesden Green, where there was a big event happening the same day as our launch to promote Brent’s bid to be the London borough of culture! There was aerial gymnastics, poetry and all sorts.

Mariam Khan Centre Director at Explore Learning Willesden says: “We have been really enjoying getting to know the community so far. Many local families know of neighbouring Explore Learning’s and our arrival brings the opportunity for them to attend a centre more nearby. We are really excited to be located at the heart of the community in the library. It’s a real learning hub for families as the building also has a museum and a gallery that they can enjoy.”

As well as English and maths tuition every day of the week, Explore Learning Willesden will be launching specialist courses in Succeed in Secondary School, Creative Maths and Creative Writing in January. They will also be running free workshops with local libraries, schools and community groups – particularly around our annual competitions, the National Young Writers’ Awards and the National Young Mathematicians’ Awards.

The team at Explore Learning Willesden are excited to welcome families into our new centre and chat about ways we can help children become fearless learners! Why not try it for yourself?
