Meet Alex Ringer

Head Office

I heard about the role through a friend who already worked here and it’s all gone from there. I didn’t have any particular experience in property before joining the team but I’ve been given lots of opportunities to study, learn and find my way in a new industry which has been really fantastic.

The thing I love most about working with Explore is that no two days are ever the same. You never know what might be around the corner so it really keeps you on your toes. Every new challenge is an opportunity to learn and with a great and supportive team around you even the most difficult situation will provide some important lesson for the future.

The best part of my role is when I hand over a shiny new centre to an eager team. Getting a new centre ready to open takes a long time from start to finish and knowing that a great team will soon be filling it with new members from the local community is brilliant. I love playing an active role in bringing Explore Learning centres to new communities and growing the business in my own way.

Being determined and having ‘gumption’ have really helped me in my role. Property can be a ‘dog eat dog’ business but by staying positive and thinking around a problem, especially when things get really tough, have definitely helped me achieve my goals.

Whilst at Explore I have achieved a post graduate diploma in Surveying and I am about to start studying to become a member of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Explore have been extremely supportive of this endeavour which is fantastic.

My advice to a new Explore employee would be try your best and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
