How do I enter?
You can enter via our website if your child has typed their story. If they have written it by hand, you can post it to your local Explore Learning centre. Don’t forget to include all of your contact details so we can call you if they win!

The regional finalists will be announced on 24th May, which will then be whittled down to the top 10 on the 3rd June. The winner will be announced w/c 21st June. Keep an eye on our website and social media!
Why do you need personal information?
For school entries we recommend that the children submit their story using their teacher’s contact details.
Is there a minimum word limit?
No, but remember the judging criteria is on plot, originality, language, characterisation and enjoyment – so make sure you write enough words for us to judge.
May I scribe for my child?
You may scribe for your child, as long as none of the words used are changed!
Can I enter if I'm outside of the UK?
We love to receive entries from children and schools outside the UK, but please note that the winner’s school visit from our judge will be conducted via video call rather than face-to-face.
