What is the Schools' Entrance Assessment Group?

All 62 academically selective schools in Northern Ireland make up the Schools' Entrance Assessment Group (SEAG). It includes Controlled and Voluntary Grammar Schools and Integrated Schools in its membership. All schools in the SEAG use the same test, which means that children applying to any of these schools only need to take the entrance examination once.

How to register for a place in the Schools' Entrance Assessment Group?

The exam is completed over two 60-minute papers. Both papers cover both mathematics and English (or Gaeilge), and both papers follow the same format. There is a mixture of multiple choice and free response questions.
