Meet Hollie Button Part Time Tutor

Part Time Tutor

I joined the Fosse Park Explore Learning team as a tutor when I was 17 and studying A levels and decided to stay in Leicester to go to university so that I could remain in the tutor role. What attracted me to Explore as a company was not only that my friend already worked for the Highcross centre and enjoyed the role, but also that I was thinking of becoming a teacher after university and thought it would be a great experience to have when applying to a PGCE.

Since joining, I won ‘Tutor of the Year’ in my first year at Explore which was a huge honour and I have loved every minute of being a tutor. I get not only to see how the kids grow into fearless learners but also I have enjoyed running the additional content courses, of which I currently run SIS. There is nothing better than having members come into the centre asking specifically to be in my zone.

I am now 20 and am in my final year of university and I can honestly say that Explore has changed my personality completely. With amazing managers to guide me and working in a centre that has a family feel with fantastic tutors I am now a more confident and outgoing character. Since I joined I have now changed my plans for the future and am currently in the process of beginning to apply for an AD role for when I have finished my degree.
