Let's master maths

We believe there’s no such thing as a ‘maths brain.’ Everyone has different capabilities and learning habits, and we help every child find their path and go beyond what they thought was possible.

Our tutors are experts in bringing maths to life. They:

  • Are trained in mentoring children to overcome challenges and reach new levels in maths

  • Are skilled at explaining maths strategies in fun and memorable ways

  • Will support your child to develop a 'can-do' attitude and growth mindset.

FAQs

What makes a good maths tutor?

Good maths tutors are able to identify your child’s learning needs, adapt to different learning styles, and provide safe and comfortable learning spaces; our Explore tutors do all that. With years of experience teaching children, and great personal success in their own education, our tutors are invested in your child's learning.

How you assess maths ability?

Our smart digital learning tool, is designed to assess students’ maths abilities and adapt the curriculum to suit their needs. Your child will be presented with the right topic and questions at the right time. They will receive instant feedback and you will receive a report of all the new skills they are learning.

How quickly will I see progress?

Most parents notice a change in their child's confidence and enjoyment of learning within the first few weeks of attending Explore Learning. Academic progress then follows in month 2-3. On average children master 1-2 new maths skills in each tuition session so their new found knowledge quickly grows. We share all this information with you online so you can see your child's progress and celebrate it together.

Is your curriculum the same as my child is doing in school?

Our curriculum is mapped to the National Curriculum for England, Wales and the Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland so you can be confident that the skills your child is learning with us match those they will be taught in school. However, when your child will learn them will be different as they will work at a pace and level that is right for them rather than that followed by their class at school.

What support do your offer children with SEN?

Our individual approach to learning has proven to be successful for children with a wide variety of needs including autism, dyscalculia, ADHD and many more. We recognise every child is unique and will approach learning differently. During your first visit we will work with you to identify the way your child learns best and advise whether our programme will be the right fit for them.
