#NowICan: Celebrating achievements
October 05, 2016
The summer holidays can be a great opportunity to learn new skills and keep children’s brains active! Before they broke up from school, we spoke to our members and their families to find out what they wanted to achieve over the summer – hear about their goals in this video…
With a little help from our fantastic tutors, together with their families, we knew all our members could reach for the stars and achieve amazing things! Whether it was mastering long division like Sita, helping Saskia’s dad build a wendy house or writing an exciting fictional story like Tobias, we were there to support their goals – and we loved hearing about their activities outside Explore!
With the new school term bringing the summer holidays to an end, we were keen to catch up with our members and their families to find out how they felt about their challenges, what skills they felt they have learned and most of all, how proud they are to be able to say ‘Now I Can!’ We’re delighted to share with you their achievements in this video.
We loved hearing how all our families felt the experience really brought them together – many parents even found that they learned a thing or two while helping their children with their goals! We know how important it is to celebrate these achievements, to keep children motivated and nurture them to become fearless learners. We’re so proud of all our members – well done to everyone who set themselves a challenge this summer and accomplished new skills in the process, you’re all superstars!
