National Numeracy Day: Get number confident!
May 11, 2021
It’s time to get number confident on National Numeracy Day, 19th May 2021!
We are delighted to be the lead delivery partner of National Numeracy Day, the UK’s only annual day dedicated to everyday maths!
Alongside the charity National Numeracy, we want to help children and adults feel confident about numbers at home, work, and school.
What is National Numeracy Day?
National Numeracy Day raises awareness of the importance of numeracy to personal lives, career development, and the economy.
National Numeracy Day 2021 aims to empower adults and children to improve their confidence and competence with numbers in three key areas of their lives: at home, work, and school.
What is the National Numeracy Challenge?
It’s a free-to-use website where adults can build their confidence with numbers. It includes a 10min check of your skills and specific learning resources to help you learn the skills you need.
By checking and improving in bite-sized chunks, at times that suit you, you can join the thousands of others who have used it to build stronger skills and confidence with numbers.
“However you feel about maths, you’re not alone” – National Numeracy
Free parent and children resources
On the day, there will be a host of free online events, videos, and resources including inspirational stories and practical advice from real-life learners and celebrities including Rachel Riley, Martin Lewis, Bobby Seagull, and more!
National Numeracy also offers parent maths support through practical, helpful, and inspiring content for each of these three themes:
