Explore’s ‘Team Marvellous’ raise over £375 in Windsor Colour Run
May 20, 2016
Our fundraising efforts have continued in colourful style, after several team members took part in the Windsor Colour Run for our charity partner, Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity – and raised over £375 along the way!
The Colour Obstacle Rush course contained 20 obstacles with 8 of these including an inflatable colouring station. The fundraisers were doused with colour powder, dodged sponge balls, tumbled through inflatable castles and sped down giant slides. Foamy slip ‘n’ slides, water balloon mayhem and other surprises completed the challenge during the event.
Rob Hicks, Managing Director at Explore Learning says: “We are really proud of the team for their efforts and very excited to be continuing momentum with our fundraising. We began supporting Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity earlier this year and this marks our third successful event. We are looking forward to raising even more for this fantastic cause throughout the rest of the year.”
Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which is headquartered in Amersham, close to the former home of the late Roald Dahl in Great Missenden, supports seriously ill children who have the biggest needs, namely those with a serious rare or undiagnosed condition, and often living in poverty.
Explore Learning’s 3,000 staff will be taking part in a number of events over the next year to reach an ambitious £12,000 target. You can find out more about Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Charity here: http://www.roalddahl.com/charity
